BIO
Clarisse Van Kote is a French-American performer and writer based in Paris. She grew up in Lyon and lived in New York City from 2009 to 2020. She studied Theatre and Russian at Barnard College and the Moscow Art Theatre School, before pursuing an MFA in acting at Columbia University.
Clarisse has created two short solo pieces, Nina, Rehearsal. and Sidération, and co-devised Strange Streets with Shelley Farmer (Dixon Place Lounge). She is currently developing Déambulations, a performance piece about walking and the relationship between place and identity, which you can enjoy on this website!
